Cardboard Collection: Sherlock and Pages

Client: Sherlock and Pages, an independent bookshop committed to sustainability and reducing waste.

Challenge: As a busy local bookshop, Sherlock and Pages regularly received significant volumes of cardboard from book deliveries. They wanted to manage this waste responsibly while supporting environmentally friendly initiatives in the community.

Solution: Our cardboard collection service provided an easy and sustainable way for Sherlock and Pages to recycle their waste. We collect their clean, non-glossy cardboard weekly and incorporate it into our composting process, turning it into nutrient-rich, living compost that supports local soil regeneration efforts.

Results:

  • Waste Reduction: Diverted all cardboard waste from landfill, ensuring it was repurposed for a positive environmental impact.

  • Community Contribution: By participating in our service, Sherlock and Pages became part of the Loop composting network, supporting a circular waste economy in Frome.

  • Simplicity & Reliability: Regular collections meant the bookshop could focus on their business, knowing their cardboard waste was handled sustainably.

Sherlock and Pages are now proud contributors to a thriving local composting system, turning their waste into a resource that benefits the entire community.
